Professional HTML Web Design, Implementation, and Client Training

Design and build web sites and train clients to maintain through customized hands-on interactive ½-day course.

International Materials Institute for new Functionality in Glass (site) Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, P.C.Rossin College of Engineering, Lehigh University (site)
Global Citizenship Program, Office of International Affairs, Lehigh University (site) Outsource Marketing Group (site)
Integrated Business and Engineering Honors Program, Lehigh University (site) Lehigh Small Business Development Center (site)

Undergraduate Web Development Course

Created and delivered 2-week cource on website development to Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) Honors Program, cross-disciplinary undergraduate students at Lehigh University. The material covered both PC and MAC development environments. This course evolved from the original web design and implementation of the IBE website.

Development and Implementation of Instructional Technologies

Collaborated with an inter-disciplinary team on the development and delivery (both on-site and via teleconferencing) of core curriculum in the areas of manufacturing systems, manufacturing principles, mathematics, operations research techniques, and communications for N.S.F.-funded Focus:Hope Teaching Factory in Detroit, Michigan, including the national pilot of curriculum delivery through distance learning technologies, including V-TEL teleconferencing, and the development of guidelines for Computer Based Instruction as part of the Greenfield Coalition. Technologies used included, PowerPoint, Authorware, PageMaker, Word, Excel, Access.

Development of Assessment Strategies

Participated in development of guidelines for Computer-Based Instruction as part of the Greenfield Coalition, the consortia of eight colleges and universities charged by the NSF with guiding the academic activities at Focus:HOPE.

Training Design and Delivery

Created and presented professional development course for Ernst and Young on CAD techniques and Robotic Simulation.

Developed and delivered a six-hour graduate level manufacturing systems simulation seminar on conveyor systems for the Manufacturing Systems Engineering department at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Presented examples from the simulation language ARENA and SIMAN and assisted in the development of alternative verification methods of project results.

Developed undergraduate industrial engineering curricula demonstrating use of the PC as a tool to solve industrial problems.

Taught Computer Graphics (IE112), Computer Integrated Manufacturing Lab (IE342), Work Systems/Facilities Layout Lab (IE132) at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Software Vendor Benchmarking, Evaluation, Selection and Client Training

Reviewed current landscape for potential vendors of integrated packaged solutions for electronic marketing communications, such as electronic newsletters on behalf of P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science at Lehigh University. Conducted benchmarking study and presented results to client. Made software selection and handled implementation for client, building e-newsletter templates and integrating digital and print communication so all marketing contact originated from and was tracked by same system. Worked with internal Lehigh University data management departments to clean university data based on feedback from new engineering college system. Trained internal team on use and maintenance of new system and processes.

Industry Member of Doctoral Committees for Lehigh University Ph.D. students from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering

Work with Ph.D. students to guide them through their technology-intensive graduate research endeavors, helping them to debug code, analyze mathematical algorithms, edit papers and dissertations.
